Art & Photography Rules
- Open to Queens, Kings, Sunbury, York and Saint John County Residents
- 1. The grounds and buildings will be open to exhibitors on Tuesday, Sept. 13 between 9 am and 9 pm and Wednesday, Sept. 14 between 9 am and 12 o’clock noon.
- 2. Entries should be made on the printed forms supplied by management. These forms must be filled in and signed by the exhibitor and sent or brought to the Secretary of Queens Co. Fair, 20 Court House Rd., Gagetown, NB E5M 1E4 no later than 12:00 noon on Wed. Sept. 14.
- 3. After entering, a tag will be provided specifying the section, class & entry number. This tag must remain attached to the art work or photography during exhibition.
- 4. The decision of the Judges shall be final.
- 5. Art and Photography must be that of the exhibitor and not previously exhibited at this fair. Professional developing and framing of art work are permitted.
- 6. Safety of Exhibits – The Association will take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of articles sent or brought to the exhibition, yet it must be distinctly understood that the owners themselves must assume all risk, should any article be accidentally injured, lost or stolen. While the Association will give all the assistance in its power towards the recovery of the same, it will not make any payments for the value thereof.
- 7. Entry fee shall be 10% of the prize money awarded.
- 8. This exhibit is open to amateur artists and photographers only. Any individual who makes more than $3,000 per year from his or her art or camera work is not eligible to compete.
- 9. Exhibitors will be limited to two entries per category (i.e. an artist may enter no more than two landscapes in section 48, Class 1, “a”; a photographer may enter no more than two flower pictures in Section 49, Class 2”e”, etc.)
- 10. Exhibits must remain until 5:00 pm on Sunday, Sept 18, 2011.

Section 49 Photography Exhibit
a) Entries shall be mounted on suitable sized bristol board with about 1 inch margin
around the edge. No frames will be accepted on photography.
b) Photographs will be exhibited in normal print size, maximum 5” x 7”.
c) No Words are to appear on the mounts for single photographs, but on the collections
a title of no more than six words may be included.
d) The name and address of the exhibitor shall be printed clearly on the back of
the mount.
