RULES FOR EXHIBITING CHILDREN’S WORK


1. Each school or exhibitor is responsible for getting the materials to the display centre in the Exhibit Hall and displaying it in an attractive manner.
2. A display must have the name of the school or individual from which it was sent and the category it is being entered in.
3. Be sure to note the number of pieces for each display. Too many or too few will disqualify your entry.
4. Prizes are awarded for the best display of work, choice of articles, arrangement, neatness, etc.
5. All displays must be put up by Tuesday, 6:00 pm, of the week of the Fair. Judging will take place on Wednesday.
6. If you are planning a display for the Fair, notify Jill Merritt-Coy, Chairperson of the Children’s Committee, so that ample space can be allotted for each school.
7. All exhibits to be displayed on tables and easels provided only.
8. A teacher may only enter work for subjects that they have taught the previous school year.

SECTION: School, Senior High – Years 9 – 12
Number

1. A school, class or student team display of not more than 15 articles. These articles can be chosen from any subject area.
Prizes: 1st - $30.00 2nd - $25.00 3rd - $20.00
2. A school or class display of not more than 10 articles chosen from Art and/or Technology.
Prizes: 1st - $15.00 2nd - $12.00 3rd - $10.00
3. A school or class display of at least 12 articles and not more than 15 articles chosen from French Projects done during the year.
Prizes: 1st - $15.00 2nd - $12.00 3rd - $10.00

SECTION: School, Middle – Years 6 – 8, inclusive
Number

1. A school, class or student team display of 10 articles that can be chosen from any subject area.
Prizes: 1st - $30.00 2nd - $25.00 3rd - $20.00
2. A school, class or student team display of Social Studies and/or Science work done during the year. 10 entries required.
Prizes: 1st - $30.00 2nd - $25.00 3rd - $20.00
3. A school, class or student team display of Art and/or Technology. 10 entries required.
Prizes: 1st - $15.00 2nd - $12.00 3rd - $10.00
4. A school, class or student team display of French work done during the year. 10 entries required.

SECTION: Elementary – Years 3 – 5, inclusive

1. A display of at least 12 articles and not more than 15 articles. These articles can be chosen from any subject area.
